hubergroup to showcase bio-based UV-coating oligomers at RadTech 2025

hubergroup Chemicals, a leading specialist in resins and specialty chemicals for the coatings industry, will unveil its latest innovation at this year’s RadTech UV+EB Technology and Conference in Detroit, Michigan: high-performance, bio-based UV-Oligomers tailored for industrial applications. hubergroup Chemicals will be present at Stand 512 at RadTech 2025.

Formulated to reduce environmental impact without compromising on performance, the new UV-Oligomers are derived from renewable raw materials with certified C-14 bio-based content. These products are engineered to meet the increasing demand for sustainable alternatives in the coatings and inks industry, offering durability, chemical resistance, and high reactivity on par with conventional fossil-based counterparts.

hubergroup’s updated portfolio features a range of bio-based oligomers, including polyester acrylates with 38% bio-based content, standard epoxy acrylates with 20% bio-based content, and epoxidized soybean oil acrylates containing up to 82% bio-based content. These materials are developed in line with current environmental regulations and are supported by third-party certifications that verify their actual bio-based carbon content, reinforcing their credibility as sustainable alternatives to fossil-based raw materials in the supply chain.

“Sustainability in coatings is not just about reducing fossil resources – it’s about balancing performance, regulatory compliance, and environmental responsibility,” says Franziska Trapp, Technical Marketing Manager Coating Chemicals at hubergroup. “We’ve seen a strong surge in demand for bio-content products and received significant interest in product sampling. At RadTech, we’ll be showcasing our full portfolio of sustainable, bio-based UV-Oligomers and highlighting their application across various industrial coatings.”
