FTA appoints new committee leadership

Joel Maxwell, Kristen Shields and Alix Guyot

The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has appointed Alix Guyot, Joel Maxwell and Kristen Shields as committee chairs for its awards, membership and scholarship committees, respectively.

Alix Guyot will serve as chair of the awards committee, working in partnership with Kelsey Schmidt, FTA’s education delivery manager. In this role, Guyot will oversee the selection of task force chairs for each of FTA’s major awards programs: excellence in flexography, technical innovation, sustainability excellence, printer of the year, supplier of the year.

The task force chairs, together with the committee chair, comprise the awards committee. The committee will also guide discussions regarding potential updates and enhancements to FTA’s awards programs.

Joel Maxwell has been given membership committee chair and will collaborate with Susan Raab, FTA’s membership manager. Maxwell will assemble and lead a group of 5-7 members focused on: identifying and advising on top member prospects, supporting member outreach initiatives, assisting with at-risk member retention efforts.

Kristen Shields will serve as scholarship committee chair, working alongside Kelsey Schmidt. Shields will lead a committee of 3-5 members responsible for: judging the annual FFTA scholarship program and selecting recipients, and recommending updates or improvements to the scholarship awards program.

“We are grateful to Alix, Joel and Kristen for stepping into these important leadership roles,” said Nathan Ridnouer, president of foundation of Flexographic Technical Association. “Their expertise and dedication will help ensure our awards, membership and scholarship programs continue to evolve and deliver meaningful value to our members and the broader flexographic industry.”
