THE PACKMAN

Flint Group gears up for Flexo & Labels Expo 2026 showcase

Flint Group Packaging Solutions will exhibit at Flexo & Labels Expo 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil, from 26 to 29 May 2026, presenting its latest ink and coating technologies for label converters at the Anhembi District venue. The company’s narrow web team will be at Stand 100, Street I/3.

The company’s Ekocure portfolio will be a focus of the display. These dual-curing inks operate under both UV Hg and UV LED lamps, allowing converters to transition to LED curing on a press-by-press basis. Within the Ekocure range, Ekocure Ancora is a migration-optimized ink designed for food contact materials (FCM) for use in food labeling and packaging applications.

On recyclability, the Evolution range addresses challenges posed by shrink sleeves and pressure-sensitive labels, which can contaminate the PET recycling stream. The range includes a De-inking Primer and a Caustic-Resistant Overprint Varnish to enable ink-substrate separation during the caustic wash process, keeping material viable as high-quality rPET. The company says this can increase recycled PET yield by up to 10%.

Flint Group Packaging Solutions will also present Flexocure Leap, its UV Hg FCM ink for food packaging. Built on a new resin system, the ink range is said to reduce the risk of photoinitiator migration by stabilizing PI compounds within the ink structure. According to the company, the product is designed to maintain compliance as food safety regulations evolve, removing the need for reformulation each time permitted materials lists are updated.

Fabio Ribeiro, sales director of packaging Brazil & NW South America at Flint Group Packaging Solutions, said, “Printers across Latin America are facing the same pressures we see everywhere: energy costs, compliance complexity, and brand owners pushing hard on recyclability. What’s changed is that the technology to tackle all three is now genuinely available.

“At Stand 100, visitors will see exactly how Ekocure makes the transition to LED curing practical rather than disruptive, how Evolution protects the quality of recovered PET so more of it stays in the circular economy rather than being lost to lower-grade waste streams, and how Flexocure Leap removes the regulatory guesswork from food packaging ink decisions. Flexo & Labels Expo brings the whole Latin American market together in one place. We want every converter who walks through those doors to leave knowing what’s possible.”
