The new generation of gravure engraving machine, DMA R10 Series was launched at drupa 2016. The engraver uses full digital controlling technology, closed-loop control theory and modern manufacturing technology. DMA R10 can engrave images and very small texts with high resolution in one path at 8KHz, which improves the productivity efficiently. Engraved text can be as small as 4pt and the quality is similar to laser engraving (Sim-laser). The engraver can also produce larger/deeper cells through multi-path (2 – 3 times) engraving on the same position, reaches, for example, maximum depth 65m by 60L/C angle 3. For optimal productivity and quality, DMA R10 is integrated with the user friendly Packz PDF-based workflow editor from HYBRID Software for directly accepting PDF format.

In India, DMA Innotec is represented by Insight. Since its association with DMA about a year ago, Insight sold two engravers in India and a couple of more installations are in the pipeline. Speaking to The Packman, Alexander Katz of DMA Innotec, said, “India is a very important market for us. Rotogravure plays a big role in the country due to its huge and growing population.”
