Nilpeter has announced a planned leadership transition at Nilpeter. On 1 February 2026, David Kitson assumed the role of managing director, succeeding Nick Hughes.
“Nilpeter has been a huge part of my professional life, and I am very proud of what we have built together in the UK,” said Nick Hughes. “This transition has been carefully planned, and I am fully committed to supporting David and the team to ensure continuity for our customers. I am confident that Nilpeter UK is in very good hands going forward.”
David Kitson brings extensive experience from the printing industry, most recently from Robert Graphics, where he was responsible for managing sales activities within an international environment. His background combines strong commercial insight with a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
“I am honored to be joining Nilpeter UK and to take over from Nick, whose contribution to the company and the UK label industry is widely recognized,” said David Kitson. “Nilpeter has a strong heritage, a loyal customer base and a clear strategic direction. I look forward to building on this foundation together with the team, focusing on long-term partnerships, performance and future opportunities for our customers.”
Nilpeter CEO Peter Eriksen underlines that the appointment is part of a long-term strategy for the UK market.
“Nick Hughes has made an exceptional contribution to Nilpeter over more than 30 years, and we are grateful that he will continue to support the business during the transition,” says Peter Eriksen. “At the same time, we are very pleased to welcome David Kitson as managing director of Nilpeter UK. His industry experience, leadership profile and commercial mindset make him a strong fit for Nilpeter and for our ambitions in the UK market.
This transition ensures continuity, stability and a clear focus on the future.” With this planned handover, Nilpeter reaffirms its long-term commitment to the UK market and to supporting customers with reliable partnerships, proven technology and a clear vision for the future.
