Since its incorporation in 2002, Mumbai-based Barcom Industries has been closely associated with Flexo Image Graphics (FIG), which supplied and installed many of the key machines and equipment now running efficiently and productively at the company’s production facility. Soon to arrive at the facility are two Mark Andy Pro Series label presses.

FIG, a leading distributor & service provider of flexo presses and associated equipment of major international brands in the Indian sub-continent, has so far supplied a number of Mark Andy presses and others to Barcom Industries. “As a matter of fact, we started our business with a Mark Andy press. Since then our trust in the brand keeps growing and FIG has become an inseparable partner,” says Prasanna Sahu, managing director, Barcom Industries.

Gourav Roy, director, Flexo Image Graphics, says, “It’s our privilege to be partnered with such an ambitious and ever-growing label manufacturing and printing company of India. Barcom Industries has made some of the landmark investments and milestone installations of cutting-edge machines from FIG.”

Started with a Mark Andy 830, followed by a Mark Andy Scout and a string of Mark Andy 2200 presses, Barcom Industries never remained stagnant when it came to constant upgrading of its machine portfolio. In the following years, the portfolio had been upgraded with a handful of Mark Andy Performance Series P5 presses.

Barcom Industries hit the headlines in 2018 when the company installed Asia’s first Mark Andy Digital One, an advanced hybrid label press combining digital printing with in-line converting & finishing. Apart from Mark Andy presses, the company’s other machines bought from FIG consist of Rotoflex inspection slitter rewinders with 100% fault detection systems, Rotoflex HSI label inspection, slitting & rewinding machines with 100% Nikka L1 inspection cameras, and Rotoflex bi-directional pharma inspection system.

Having been working for big brands from sectors like FMCG, pharmaceutical, vehicular maintenance, liquor, and others, Barcom Industries boasts a vast client base comprising both domestic and international companies. Sahu states that they look forward to gaining new grounds in terms of productivity and clients’ utmost satisfaction with the constant upgrade of their machine portfolio, such as the addition of the new Mark Andy Pro Series presses from FIG.
